Victoria Road is one of Sydney’s busiest roads, connecting the Parramatta and Sydney central business districts. Around 200,000 bus passengers travel on Victoria Road each week. Up to 170 buses, with more than 8,000 passengers travel between Gladesville Bridge and The Crescent during typical morning peak traffic periods.
RMS helps solve traffic problems on Victoria Road, The Zipper is used to transfer the concrete barrier from one lane to another to create a dedicated citybound bus lane from Seymour Street to Iron Cove Bridge in the AM peak weekdays (between 6 and 10am), without reducing the number of general citybound traffic lanes. Following the morning peak period, the Zipper will move the barriers back.
